Our kids can swear from time to time without the fear of mommy clearing the room in 1/2 a second to smack the fillings from their mouths.
From time to time, they've been known to give each other a sound beating without the fear of the same from us (not that I'm admitting that out loud or anything...lol).
They help out with dishes, garbage, and laundry many days. Not every day. But there are many days. So when they are asked to, I can usually get them to help with minimal attitude.
They know that there is no getting mom to slide with things & skirt around dad on it.
I had a Grown Up talk with Austin this morning.
"You know how Dad always gets the final say?"
Yep
"You know how even your Real Dad - says that It's My Why or The Highway! It's My House!"
Yep
"Well they're both trying to get the same point to you, but in their own ways. A man is the head of the household. He needs to be seen as that. You need to understand that."
I get it mom :) But why doesn't Greg have to follow that too??
Oh but he does son.
Oh but he does.
The past 48 hrs has been a whirlwind of attitude from two very disrespectful 19 year olds.
And Daddy and Uncle Timmy have had enough.
I might give Timmy a hard time from now & than, but he's a very respectful guy. Family always comes first. And he bends over backwards to help us and always had (when he's stayed with us).
I told Austin a little bit, because when shit hits the fan and his fav step-bro & the step-bro's cock-bitch of a bff duck tale and run back to their pot-head-welfare-free-loading-mommy's house..... AGAIN.... I want him to know that It's Not His or Mine or Our fault.
All we ask is that when you live in our house you are:
A: Respectful
B: You Pull Your Own Weight
