Went to visit some friends yesterday. In the past year this guy has dropped 80-plus-lbs. Hold your applause folks. God bless his little heart... he is a GO GO GO work out-er. Has gone through the ringer - often 6to7 days a week - running, Krav, P90x, Insanity, you-name it. Always trying to go to the next level. I think right now his goal is to get at the lowest body fat he can. And I quote "right now my metabolism is SO FAST I can EAT ANYTHING I want and NOT GAIN A POUND" and his delightful little wife just rolls her eyes and yawns from exhaustion. He has the energy level of a 8 year old unmedicated ADHD child. I wish I was kidding. For HER sake. When we went home, I promptly gave up what little willpower I thought I had of working out, crawled into pj's and enjoyed a pile of Butch's cheesy nachos for dinner. Craved a pb sandwich for dessert ... and caved into a reese's mini candybar and went to bed instead.
There's only so much a person can wrap their head around someone else's logic. One minute it's "run RUN RUN!" And it's showing his daily app for running on fb. Trying to drag us to the track to join in the fun. This went on for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS. Now it's "a human's body ISN'T made for running" instead you should do circuit training!! Cardio went from GOOD in his logic to BAD. It burns CARBS not FAT. He can't make up his mind! And does he really have to be savoring a chocolate iced donut as he's giving us his shpeal? Really?
I ponder this as I lick the last of the chocolate candy bar from my fingers...
