I'm sitting here watching this soon-to-be-12-year old girl with her little bfriend. If we hadn't held Austin back, they'd both be in 7th grade this year.  Which blows my mind. She hussies all over town like she's 15. Her mom is perfectly ok with it. I don't let my 12 year old go anywhere other than school or on our property without me. Period. Bike ride? I'm there too. Walk to the store? Me too. If he's going, there better be an adult present. With the rampaging amount of chimo's & kid-killers around these days (compared to when we were young), my baby just isn't old enough for me to let wander the streets alone. This hussie not only does it, but right now she's parading around here holding her bfriend's hand (no - it's not Austin). This kid isn't a day over 12 either. He has his I-wanna-look-like-a-15-year-old-too attitude. Complete with sporty baseball hat, white "wife-beatr" shirt, sport shorts & DC's. She was telling me how she likes to watch bball games w/ him & lay on his tummy. REALLYY??? You're HOW OLD?? The thoughts in my head are as follows: Hope her mama's ready to be a grandmama, because that little hussie'll be lucky to hit 14 before she starts popping them out.

Oh trust me. His mom is OK WITH IT!! It's unbelievable!! I'm just glad she (the mom) isn't dating my BIL (bro-in-law) anymore... *whew*! (And I'm glad the girl isn't "dating" Austin anymore too)

Some people make parenting look sooo easy.  They are big fat liar pants.  Parenting is hard.  Kids can be awful.  They don't come with an Instruction Manual.  I started young and have grown up with them.  We have gone through a lot together.  And I would have never been able to do it without the wonderful family I have.  I started blogging because of Twin.  She said that it wasn't nice of me to take a Bad Day out on the Hubby or the Brats.  And so this began.... it's my Rantings From The Time Out Corner... because, let's face it - when I'm full on Cranky Pants... my hubby doesn't fail to make me go Sit One Out for the Team.  (for more see ME above)
