Me: "Well. Daddys have sperm and Mommys have eggs. And when they have sex the Daddys sperm shoots inside the Mommys and join the eggs and THAT'S when they become the baby."
Xav: "So do I have sperm now?"
Me: "Nope. When boys and girls hit puberty it's when they get them. When you get hair on your pits, and your voice drops (and his dad pipes in - "When your balls drop!").."
Xav: "Well, Mason says he's already hit puberty."
Me: "Mason is 9. Mason likes to tell stories. No, Mason hasn't hit puberty."
Two days later....I overhear from his bedroom...
Xav: "Mason, so guess what. We have sperm and girls have eggs. And when we have sex they shoot together and make babies!"
Me: "Xav! Can you NOT tell other kids that? His mommy might not appreciate him knowing that yet!"
