In our family, Honesty has always been the policy. On occasion, we'll do Silence instead of a Lie. (Because, let's face it, none of us can lie worth a damn. It's written all over our faces.). But we have no problems at all calling a spade a spade. We tell each other the brutal, honest truth no matter what. You screwed up? Yep, we'll tell ya. We support you, no matter how bad it is. And we will love each other ferociously, no matter what. Because we're family. We keep each other in line and Honest. Sometimes what we have to say isn't what we want to hear, but it's coming out anyways. And I'm sorry if you got your feelings hurt, but just realize I'm telling you because you need to hear it. Not because I want you to hate me. Just remember, that one day you'll look back and thank me for it. And you'd rather hear it honestly from family, than angrily and blindsided from a stranger.
