So I have been wanting a pair of cute knee high zip up, black boots. The kind that go cute over a pair of skinny jeans... or with a skirt. The problem is that up until recently... my calves were too big to zip them up. Now that they aren't... well... I'm on the warpath. Problem #1 I don't like spending a ton of $$ on Mommy Shoes (since I have two boys growing thru theirs by the day) and #2 I feel guilty if I spend another $$ on Mommy Shoes (I have a stockpile of shoes. Although I'm proud to say that I got most of them for Free. From friends or family.). So that means #3 that when I DO splurge... I tend to stalk the Thrift Stores.
Over the weekend I did just that. And scored me an adorable pair of "hooker boots" for $6.99. These are fabulous with a skirt of over the $6.99 pair of skinny jeans I bought with them (because of course I don't have a pair... and one really does need the other...). I realized I will be returning though.. I need a pair that are flat on the bottom to use for my Everyday Work Outfits. And this lovely pair will be for the date nights and weekends and cute dress. Since I don't find it practical ... or safe... to try to battle Oregon rain with these puppies.
