So our stint as foster-kitty-parents went as fast as it came. We called the prior owners & had them come get him last night, and than brain-stormed w/ them on better foster-kitty-parents ideas. Need one that doesn't have any other pets. He's a great kitty - just needs his own parents that don't come w/ other animals. He spent the entire time at our house crammed under the smallest things he could (dresser, couch... etc) and hissy at us. No matter how close I stuck the food/water to him AND closed him in a room alone (we thought it might encourage him to come out & eat in privacy - it was ony 2 hours or so) he STILL wouldn't eat. The real dad was all "my poor baby looks like he lost weight... oooh and his nose hisn't wet so he must be dehydrated....boohoo" NO SHIT. I TOLD YOU - He WOULDN'T eat, WOULDN'T drink and WOULDN'T stop hissing at and/or ATTACKIN my puppy! And I'm sorry, but Mocha has been here for almost 2 years now, cuddles with me, goes to work with me, etc etc. So he gets the priority in the household. And he has a pet kitty. She likes us, the kids and him. So it's all good... I felt bad that the foster-kitty-parents thing didn't work as we'd hoped, but not bad enough to want to try it again.
