He's fought allergies since he was 6 weeks old. He's used to benadryl and nasal spray and a plethera of over medications. The past week at grandma's he's upped it a notch. Now his chest hurts and he wheezes when he breathes. I'm not sure if asthma is hereditary, but we have some in the family.
Our worry is that it might effect sports. His biodad and I were discussing his uncle having it when they were kids. I thought he got to play fball anyways. I stand corrected. In elementary school he wasn't able to play sports. It wasn't until HS, when they could get his lungs to expand. The poor kid is miserable.
The only worry I have is that he HATES doctors (and always has). When he was younger we would have to block the door to the little checkup room, because he would try going back to the car. It takes at least four of us to hold him down for a shot. He had to pee in a cup for his annual checkup (he was 12 years old) and had a hysterical fit. When they do the finger pricks it makes him have an anxiety attack. Gawd forbid he has to lift his shirt for them to check under it. So today is going to suck.
I'm thinking about sending Xav to Jen's and making Larry go to. Especially since he needs one or two shots still.
Hmmm.
We'll see.
I just want to the doc to give us the magic pills that make it all better.
